A decolagem foi executada com precisão pelo Comandante Piuzorio. Os comandos suaves, a rotação no ângulo perfeito e uma aceleração constante até atingir a velocidade de rotação (VR) levaram o A320 a levantar voo. Os flaps foram retraídos gradualmente, iniciando-se a subida em regime de 1g, mantendo um ângulo de subida eficiente para o peso da aeronave. A transição para o regime de subida contínua, após a passagem pela altitude de transição (TOC), foi suave, a aeronave subiu estável, ganhando altitude em direcção ao seu nível de cruzeiro a 36000 pés. As luzes de táxi e reconhecimento foram apagadas, uma vez alcançada a altitude segura. A tripulação monitorizou constantemente a altitude, a velocidade, e a deriva do vento, sempre em comunicação com a torre de controlo.

Após a aterragem, o peso final da aeronave era de 46581 kg, restando 2552 kg de combustível, tendo sido consumidos cerca de 448kg. Os sistemas de frenagem e os spoilers fizeram o seu trabalho, permitindo uma desaceleração segura e controlada.
