Após um reabastecimento que elevou a quantidade de combustível para 8152kg e o carregamento da carga paga para um total de 16159kg, resultando num peso bruto de 66997kg, o comandante Piuzorio iniciou o processo de partida. Os freios de estacionamento foram libertados, as luzes de reconhecimento desligadas e as luzes de baliza ligadas. O avião foi empurrado para trás e seguiu-se o taxiamento até à pista. Os motores foram ligados, verificação final de todos os sistemas, uma ultima verificação dos flaps. O processo foi realizado sem problemas.
A decolagem ocorreu sem sobressaltos, com o Comandante Piuzorio mantendo uma técnica segura e precisa. A rolagem inicial, o atingimento de V1, VR e V2, e a subida inicial, tudo ocorreu conforme os procedimentos operacionais. Os flaps foram retraídos gradualmente durante a subida. O avião atingiu a altitude de cruzeiro (TOC) a 36509 pés sem incidentes, mantendo-se uma velocidade de 254kts.
A fase de cruzeiro decorreu normalmente, apesar de uma temperatura externa de -51°C, um valor extremo mas dentro dos limites operacionais do avião. A meteorologia, aparentemente errática durante a partida, apresenta-se agora consistente, mas ainda com valores anómalos (visibilidade 0km). A descida para a aproximação de Lisboa (LPPT) iniciou-se com o atingimento de TOD (Top Of Descent). O comandante Piuzorio iniciou as manobras de descida e aproximação, seguindo os procedimentos standard. Os flaps foram utilizados de acordo com a velocidade e a altitude. A aproximação até a pista foi feita com perícia, realizando uma aterragem suave. O piloto usou o automatismo numa fase e depois realizou a aproximação final manualmente para um acerto perfeito.
A aterragem em Lisboa foi bem-sucedida, com um peso de aterragem de 62099kg, restando ainda 3240kg de combustível. O processo de travagem e taxiamento até à porta ocorreu normalmente. O comandante Piuzorio desligou os motores e todos os sistemas, encerrando o voo TP1862 com sucesso. A minha perspetiva sobre as decisões do piloto é que foram cautelosas e apropriadas, sempre priorizando a segurança do voo. A verificação dos sistemas antes e durante o voo, o respeito pelos procedimentos operacionais standard e a gestão eficiente do combustível, foram evidentes. A aparente falta de reação aos valores meteorológicos inconsistentes no log é preocupante, especialmente a visibilidade 0km. Assume-se que esta é uma anomalia do simulador usado e não uma decisão por parte do piloto.
